We started boomworks and began our journey because we struggled to find a new home in the area we wanted when we looked to move from the UK to Spain. We got very frustrated by the technology available online, agents typically have standard websites with pretty poor photographs that have been taken by the owner or the agent themselves. The house we eventually ended up buying was in fact a property that we originally dismissed from our search because we didn't like the photographs of the outside - they really didn't sell the house as they could have. If the owners hadn't of been in the garden when we drove past we would never have had a walk around the place and fallen in love with it. We had also spent months looking around many houses from many agents, which wasn't cheap in terms of time or money.
We did our research to try and find a technology solution that would allow anyone to visit a property online using 3D virtual technology. We spent months looking around and eventually found the solution we were looking for. We found lots of companies offering 360 tours, high-definition photos but these didn't offer much more than the existing photographs we encountered.
We wanted an immersive, interactive and real-world technology that could be deployed in any physical space. After much searching, researching and evaluating lots of technology we finally agreed that Matterport was the perfect choice.
From this simple idea we did our market research and established that there was a large market of properties for sale and rent that could massively benefit property owners and save buyers and renters time and money by visiting the property 24/7 from anywhere in the world.
That's what got boomworks off the ground in 2018 and from here we have grown into a create design studio that serves many other markets - in fact any property or space that is for sale or rent can leverage our services to make the buying or renting process a whole lot more pleasurable.
