The brief

A private-appointment boutique with a one-person back office.

Barn Bridal Boutique is Jane's private-appointment boutique in Witham, Essex - designer wedding dresses, sizes 6 to 26, a curve range, and a deliberately calm, one-bride-at-a-time experience. The brand is built on hospitality. The admin behind it, when we met her, was not.

Appointments, stock, sales, ordering and invoicing were all being run by hand. Diary entries in one place, paper receipts in another, manual emails to the accountants at month end. Jane wanted her time back - software that runs the operational side of the boutique so she can stay in the showroom, with the bride, where she belongs.

What we built.

One connected stack - public site, smart chat, booking, and a back office that does the admin for her.

Public website

A warm, calm front of house that matches the boutique's tone. Photography-led, mobile-first, with the booking CTA on every page and zero friction between "this looks lovely" and "I have a slot."

Bespoke appointment system

Private slots only, two-hour by default, with bride and guest details captured up front. Jane sees the full diary; brides see only what's available. No double-booking, no missed details.

AI chatbot trained on her FAQs

The same questions Jane was answering by email five times a week - sizing, alterations, what to bring, what to expect - answered instantly in a tone she'd recognise as her own. Books straight into the appointment system when the visitor is ready.

Customer back-office web app

One place for appointments, sales, stock, orders and invoicing. Every dress tracked from order to sale. Reorder reminders before stock runs low. The boutique runs from a single screen instead of three notebooks and an inbox.

Automatic signed invoices

Receipts and signed invoices are produced the moment a sale is completed and forwarded to the accountants in the format they want, in real time. Month-end stops being a job.

Automated reminders

Booking confirmations, appointment reminders and thank-you notes go out automatically. No more "did I confirm Saturday?" - the system has, in the right voice, on the right day.

The result

More time with brides, less time at the desk.

Six months in, Jane runs the entire operational side of Barn Bridal from one back-office screen. The website, chatbot and booking system handle the front end. Stock, sales and invoicing handle themselves on the back. The accountants get clean signed invoices in real time instead of a month-end scramble.

The point of all of it is the bit you don't see in the software. Jane spends her hours with the bride, calm and unhurried, in a private showroom where the appointment is the only thing on the calendar - the way she always wanted to run it.
